[ History ]
Emil Haefely founded the company in 1904. Based on a patented design for manufacturing of resin-impregnated paper insulators the company grew fast and expanded into high-voltage testing in 1922. Over the years Emil Haefely & Cie evolved to become a specialist in the fabrication of electrical apparatus, bushings, capacitors, in insulation technology and high-voltage testing equipment. The acquisition of Tettex Instruments AG in 1995 was another step to expand the product line with high precision measuring and diagnostic instruments in the field of insulation and transformer measurements. Also EMC at Haefely has a 25-year history and supplies now a full range of advanced test equipment. Today, Haefely Test AG has it's headquarter in Basel – Switzerland and is an ISO 9001 accredited quality supplier for a broad range of high-voltage test equipment.
