Calibration

Haefely Test offers a broad range of calibration services performed by our accredited calibration laboratory as well as aging diagnostic on oil paper insulation systems by our chemical laboratory.

[Haefely DKD Calibration Laboratory]

Haefely DKD Calibration Laboratorty for electrical quantities and high voltage Measuring Systems for Impulse voltages, AC voltages DC voltages is an independent calibration laboratory of the German Calibration Service DKD (Deutscher Kalibrierdienst). The Deutscher Kalibrierdienst is signatory to the multilateral agreement of the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) for the mutual recognition of calibration certificates. The other signatories are at present the accreditation authorities in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and the United Kingdom. Corresponding agreements exist with the accreditation authorities in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

The Haefely Calibration Laboratory has been DKD accredited by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt Braunschweig PTB, the national institute for science and technology and the highest technical authority of the Federal Republic of Germany for the field of metrology and certain sectors of safety engineering. The PTB comes under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Economics. It meets the requirements for calibration and testing laboratories, certification and accreditation bodies defined in ISO/IEC Guides 25 and 58 and the EN DIN 45000 series of standards respectively.

[Standard Factory Calibration]

Besides DKD calibration we offer Standard Factory Calibration for our complete range of measuring equipment, high voltage dividers, high voltage measuring systems for alternating voltage, direct voltage and impulse voltage, measuring instruments, impulse calibrators, coupling capacitors and impedances for partial discharge measurements, PD detectors, C & tan δ measuring instruments, standard capacitors and shunts.

[Oil Paper Insulation, Ageing Research & Diagnostics]

All existing and newly developing diagnostic procedures in the field of ageing research are aimed at detecting changes in the insulating system due to Thermal, Dielectric, Chemical and Mechanical impact. These changes may lead to reduction of insulation quality. We offer you research and investigation to the condition assessment of your high voltage equipment by:

Dissolved gases in oil analysis
Determination of oil parameters such as breakdown voltage, moisture content, power factor, amount of furan derivates in oil (HPLC analysis), neutralisation, acidity, etc.
Determination of oil impregnated paper parameters such as breakdown voltage, moisture content, power factor and capacitance, degree of polymerisation (DP)

With our high degree of experience in the field of oil/paper insulation systems we are experts in the interpretation of the results. You will receive together with the report the interpretation of the results and recommendations regarding the service conditions of your high voltage equipment.
