 NEW 2830/2831 [ New Precision Oil and Solid Dielectric Analyzer ]
The Tettex 2830/2831 is the result of extensive research and years of experience testing dielectric properties of liquid and solid insulating materials. It incorporates a fast and highly advanced procedure to measure Capacitance and tan δ, DC resistance and relative permittivity e_{r} (dielectric constant) of liquid or solid insulating materials. A simple onetimeconnection system together with resistance measurement according to preselected standards drastically reduces measuring time.
The system consists of 2830, the measuring bridge and control unit, and 2831, the extension unit.
This system is a complete replacement of the Tettex 2821 and 2822.

The instrument works on the principle of a combined bridgevectormeter and is capable of analyzing capacitive and inductive loads – especially shunt reactors – with outstanding accuracy and stability certified by a leading metrology institute. Advanced software functionalities such as insulation temperature correction, programmable test sequences with pass/fail limits, graphical visualisation of measured data, etc. make this instrument a powerful tool for analysis of highvoltage equipment.

Accuracy capacitance 0.1%, tanδ 1x10E4 The DielectricLoss Analyzing System 2820a is designed for measurement of low dielectric losses and impedances (Dissipation Factor and Power Factor) of highvoltage apparatus (e.g. the insulation of bushings). The instrument works on the principle of a combined bridgevectormeter and is capable of analyzing capacitive and inductive loads with high accuracy and stability. The Graphical User Interface of the instrument is highly intuitive, is focussed on convenience with builtin useful programs (e.g. support tool for tuning the external highvoltage supply) and uses a large colour touch screen as the input device.

MIDAS micro 2883
[ Mobile insulation diagnosis & analysing system ]
The MIDAS micro 2883 is an insulation diagnosis set used to test the insulation of high voltage components i.e. transformers, bushing, capacitors etc. Designed and tested for heavy duty conditions, the complete instrument is built in one ruggedized case with casters. As it weights only 25 kg / 55 lbs it can be transported easily to the workplace  in the field or the factory. All accessories are stored in a robust duffle bag that can be attached to the case. The MIDAS 2880/2881 is an insulation diagnosis set for measuring power / dissipation factor / tan δon a variety of high voltage components in the factory and the substation. It includes a powerful and variable frequency high voltage source up to 15kV. The capabilities can be expanded with a variety of accessories to perform additional tests on transformers and rotating machines. To analyse condition and quality of high voltage insulation systems the MIDAS performs automated measurement of dissipation factor (tan δ) and power factor (cos φ), short circuit impedance and excitation current. Additional measuring capabilities like Capacitance, Quality Factor, Frequency, Voltage, Current, Power, Losses, Impedance, Inductance, Reactance, Spectrum Analyser, Digital Scope and Data Logger are included.

3721 & 3723[ Dissipation factor tan d standards ]
Dissipation factor tan d standards are designed for checking the accuracy of capacitance and dissipation factor measuring instruments. A tan d standard is basically a standard capacitor in series with a resistor. To avoid excessive resistance values, a 1000 pF capacitor with a negligible dissipation factor should be used. The resistance units have to be calibrated together with the standard capacitor (not incl. in scope of supply).

4761, 4764[ Standard current transformers (comparators) ]
The 4761 and 4764 high precision standard current comparators are used as comparison standard in the differential method (bridge) measurement of current instrument transformers together with the measuring instruments type2763 and 2767. The special active flux compensated design of these comparators results in negligible current errors. These units can also be used as current measuring range extension for C and tand measuring equipment.

Tettex has developed this precision pilot cell for the accurate determination of the dissipation factor tan d and the conductivity of liquid insulants, such as insulating oil, aso. For measurements at constant or varying temperatures, the pilot cell can be ovencontrolled or oilimmersed. All metal parts are made of stainless steel. In order to avoid stray capacitances, the pilot cell is equipped with a shield.
